The Youth Parliament of the BRICS holds a significant place on the international stage, serving as a crucial space where the youth can actively contribute to the building of a sustainable and collaborative future. Comprised of young leaders and representatives from diverse fields, this body stands as a dynamic forum that seeks to promote intercultural dialogue, mutual understanding, and cooperation among member nations.

The importance of the BRICS Youth Parliament lies in its ability to channel the aspirations, ideas, and perspectives of the youth into regional and international decision-making processes. By providing an inclusive space for the exchange of ideas, this organ plays a fundamental role in fostering innovative and collaborative solutions to the global challenges faced by the international community.

The BRICS Youth Parliament not only encourages active youth participation in politics and diplomacy but also contributes to building bridges between cultures, fostering a deeper and more enriching understanding among young people from different nations. Additionally, by addressing key issues such as sustainable development, social inclusion, and equality, the BRICS Youth Parliament emerges as a key agent in shaping a more equitable and prosperous future for generations to come.

Professor Fouad al Ghaffari – President of the BRICS Youth Parliament

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law – University of Tripoli, Libya. Ranked sixth in the 2004-2005 graduating class.
  • Three years of study at Al-Mustansiriya Medical College and later at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Sana’a.

Public Recognition:

  • BRICS Founder of the BRICS philosophy in Yemen.

Honorary Website Position:

  • Principal Advisor for BRICS Affairs at the Office of Sheikh Sultan Ahmed Al Sami – Member of the Supreme Political Council.

International Awards:

  • Golden Cart Award for promoting international relations in the field of transportation – August 2019.
  • Coordinator of the BRICS Mahatma Gandhi Award in Yemen.
  • Award from the Embassy of China in Iraq on the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China – June 22, 2021.
  • Founder of the BRICS Award in Yemen.

  • Honorary Ph.D. in BRICS Affairs from the American International Academy of Higher Education and Training – September 28, 2019 (AIAHET).
  • Honorary Ph.D. in Financial Security and Military Science from the American International Academy of Higher Education and Training – March 2020.
  • Golden Wagon Diploma in International Relations in the Field of Transportation – Austria/Russia, August 2019.

  • March 2006: Legal Specialist at the General Administration of Legal Affairs in the Ministry of Oil, as well as a legal apprentice in international negotiations for the first exploration tender in Yemeni seas.
  • 2007: Worked as a petroleum contracts analyst at the Canadian Nexon Oil Company for eleven months.
  • May 2009: Legal Specialist at the Department of International Organizations, Ministry of Justice.
  • July 2012: Advisor to the Ministry of Human Rights for Technical and Administrative Affairs (Prime Minister’s Decision).
  • October 2012: Director-General of the Office of the Minister of Human Rights (Prime Minister’s Decree) until December 2014.
  • January 2019: Nominated to work as an advisor for the BRICS and Sustainable Development Affairs Program at the General Authority for Investment.
  • May 2021: President of the Technical Committee on the Right to Development at the Ministry of Human Rights.

  • Owner of the intellectual rights to the report “The Happy Economic Miracle” for the reconstruction of Yemen and its association with the New Silk Road – June 6, 2018.
  • Has a 45-page e-book on human rights titled “Rights on a Wall.”
  • Wrote thousands of publications, and some of his articles were covered in various countries around the world.
  • Delivered over a hundred introductory lectures on the BRICS system in many government departments.
  • Contributed to the establishment of the BRICS and Sustainable Development Program at the General Authority for Investment in 2018.
